CEO & Executive Director
Randy started with the YMCA in Greenwich, Conn. as the Friday and Saturday night fitness and building coordinator in 1994. Captivated by the YMCA spirit, Randy became the Resident Coordinator, a required in-house YMCA resident position, for two years at a YMCA in Lawrence, Mass. Randy has been with the YMCA for more than 18 years. He has been raised as a YMCA professional and would never become anything else. Randy is a basketball enthusiast and is very passionate about the sport. He enjoys all levels of the game from coaching to sitting back at home and watching a professional or college game.
Mission Advancement Director
Michelle joined the Pittsfield Family YMCA in 2010 as the Membership and Marketing Director and is now the Mission Advancement Director, responsible for marketing and grant writing. She began her career in journalism and later obtained an MBA from the University of Massachusetts. Michelle’s interests to give back to the community drew her into the nonprofit industry. In her free time, Michelle enjoys playing with her two sons – an energetic duo who loves the Y’s gymnastics and swim programs.

Senior Program Director
Earl joined the Pittsfield Family YMCA in 1995 as a Camp Sumner camp counselor. Earl has also held positions as the Camp Director, School-Age Director and Youth Sports Director, and he is now the Y’s Senior Program Director overseeing membership and many programs. Earl enjoys playing basketball, riding his motorcycle, and boating. An avid sports fan, he also enjoys watching baseball, football and basketball.
Kathy joined the Pittsfield Family YMCA in 2009, drawn to the position because of her interest to work for a non-profit organization and the proximity to home and her children’s school. Prior to the YMCA, Kathy worked in accounting management for 25 years and was a Controller for 10 years in a Boston real estate management firm. Aside from being a mom to her son and daughter, Kathy volunteers extensively – 7 years at the Boston’s Children Hospital and, in the Berkshires, as a coach for youth sports and in positions on school councils and PTOs, her church and at Crosby Elementary.
Laurie’s career with YMCAs began in 1987 when she joined the Northern Berkshire YMCA as a preschool teacher. She became the Childcare Director a few years later. In 2006, she joined the Pittsfield Family YMCA as its Childcare Director. Laurie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in business. She loves to read and spend time with her family.
Youth Development Director
Jessie’s first experience with YMCAs was in Wisconsin at the Port Edwards YMCA. While there, she was a lifeguard and swim instructor. She is now the Pittsfield Family YMCA’s Youth Development Director, responsible for school-age and camp programs. She has a Master’s Degree in Education and has taught third and fourth grades. Jessie has lived in seven different states: Louisiana, Texas, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Wisconsin, Kentucky, and Georgia. Her two children participate in the Y’s childcare programs.
Community Development Director
Justine Gingras joined the Pittsfield Family YMCA in 2008, supervising visits while completing school. Justine is experienced in Human Services and Early Childhood Education with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, a minor in Social Work, and an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Justine enjoys gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Youth and Adult Wellness Director
Kaylyn joined the Pittsfield Family YMCA in 2011 to lead its gymnastics program after leading a similar one in South County. She has 13 years of gymnastics instruction experience and more than 5 years of fitness instruction experience. Kaylyn has several certifications as a fitness instructor and is a certified personal trainer, as well as being certified in Childhood Obesity. Her inspiration for healthy living is founded in her beliefs that bare minimum functional everyday fitness is the key to longevity. In her free time, Kaylyn enjoys riding her horse, mountain biking, camping, hiking and poetry writing.
Ed has been with the Pittsfield Family YMCA for more than a decade. With a professional background in Maintenance, he first became involved with the YMCA in North Adams and was there for 12 years before joining the Pittsfield Family YMCA. Ed enjoys motorcycle riding, hunting, fishing, and hiking the Berkshires.
