About Teisha Twomey: Teisha Twomey is the head coach for the Y’s Polar Bears Swim Team. Twomey swam for four-years for the New Lebanon/Berlin Swim team and was recruited by SUNY New Paltz, a Division III school, in 2004. She swam the 200 Fly, 200 Free and 100 breaststroke. As a Hawk, she set personal bests in the 100 breast, 200 free, and 50 free, qualifying for SUNYAC’s in 2005. At Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, she went on to form an Intramural Swim Club, designed to meet the current needs of MCLA, by assembling a crew of swimmers who would get together regularly and swim organized practices two to three days a week. Teisha has also taught both private and group swimming lessons for all levels, for about eight years, and lifeguards. She is very excited about stepping into the position of coach and eager to start this season off strong!
