Annual Giving

Generations of young people have grown up with the Y nationwide and hold powerful and poignant stories. These stories are touching reminders that the YMCA movement is about everyone from all different circumstances, communities, backgrounds, families and children in need.

Every year we see families in need of Summer Day Camp for their offspring. In 2009, this need was still prevalent. When children are out of school for the summer, parents still need to have affordable care for their little ones. Rightfully so, parents have expectations that children will have a quality experience that will broaden their horizons. At the YMCA, we accomplished this by providing quality programs while working with BCC, Barrington Stage and the Berkshire Museum. Plus, we awarded over $26,000 in financial assistance towards our Day Camp program.

Why have scholarships?

The YMCA understands and is compassionate about the fact that not every family or child can afford services. This is when the YMCA steps in, helping each family and child by providing scholarships. Last year the YMCA gave out $120,000 in scholarships.

Other Ways I Can Help?

There are several ways an individual or organization can help. You can make a contribution or donation to the Reach Out For Youth program. Any amount will be accepted (See Below). We need people like you to help us help our community. You can volun-teer as a campaigner and help raise money for our program. Anyone can spread the word and be an advocate on behalf of the YMCA. Let people know all the great things we do for the community.
